Verses 1-7, "Let God arise, Let His enemies be scattered; Let those also who hate Him flee before Him. As smoke is driven away, So drive them away; As wax melts before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God. But let the righteous be glad; Let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly. Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name Yah, And rejoice before Him. A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land. O God, when You went out before Your people, When You marched through the wilderness, Selah."
When God is present, His enemies are scattered because no one is a match against Him. When you consider how people today disregard the God of the universe, with their actions and words, it makes you fearful for them. As powerful as Satan is, we are certainly no match for him, yet Jesus will simply destroy him with His breath and the brightness of His coming. II Thessalonians 2:8, "And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming." To blaspheme and mock and disrespect this kind of Authority is the height of the foolishness of man. James 4:7-10, "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up."
Verses 33-35, "To Him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which were of old! Indeed, He sends out His voice, a mighty voice. Ascribe strength to God; His excellence is over Israel, And His strength is in the clouds. O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places. The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people. Blessed be God!" Not only is God victorious over His enemies, but He goes to battle on behalf of His people. He does not abandon us to fend for ourselves, but is actively involved in the details of our lives. His Spirit gives us strength, when our own flesh is too weak to persist. Furthermore, He blesses those who love Him with peace. We praise Him, because He is worthy.
Those who are children of God can find strength and protection in His name! When we put our trust in Him, He provides for us even in ways we can't imagine. He is an amazing God, worthy to be praised! He tells us not to fear that we won't be taken care of! Matthew 6:25-33- “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."
ReplyDeleteThose who aren't children of God are enemies of God...there's no in between! If you love God, you will hate sin! Those who love God will also obey Him! Now, we are all sinners and all make mistakes, but our desire should be to obey Christ! Those who are in rebellion will find out one day that God is a just God, and they will be punished! I John 5:3- "For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome."
There is only one way to escape death, amd that is through Jesus Christ and His death on the cross! Many people think thry can find an alternative way to heaven, but they can't! Many have also made their own versions of God who accepts sin and is all love, but that God doesn't exist! Acts 4:11-12- "This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Those, who hate the Lord will want to flee the from Him.
As christians we should be able to see the Lord in our lives. We give of a scent to everyone around. Those who hate the Lord will also hate us. As Christians we will make enemies in this world for the Lord's sake. We should not want to be these people's freinds. These wicked will not want to be around us because of Him and because they hate Him. We should not want to be anyone's freind who hates the Lord.
